The Spiritual Inspiration

A life devoted to awakening, courage and selfless service.

Born in Bajitpur in 1896, Guru Maharaj dedicated his life to spiritual awakening and the upliftment of humanity. From an early age, meditation, discipline and a deep concern for others shaped his path.

In 1917, he founded Bharat Sevashram Sangha, bringing spiritual practice and organised humanitarian service into one enduring mission. Through the Sangha, his ideals of moral strength, compassion and service became a living movement.

He and his disciples also served communities facing famine and hardship, demonstrating how spiritual conviction could become practical help. For Guru Maharaj, personal spiritual growth and the welfare of humanity were inseparable.

His Eternal Guidance

A timeless call to strength, unity and compassionate action.

Guru Maharaj taught that courage must be joined with character, and that spiritual growth should find expression in the service of others. Self-discipline, moral conviction and unity were central to his message.

His guidance encouraged individuals to rise above narrow divisions and work for the greater good. He envisioned a society strengthened by integrity, mutual responsibility and concern for those in distress.

His call to selfless service extended beyond differences of caste, creed or religion. Today, these ideals continue through the Sangha’s efforts in education, healthcare, relief and community welfare.
